I-Sound costs $30 US and is available for Windows 7 computers. It’s also supposed to be able to close that audio stream program as well, but I’ve had some trouble being able to do that. In addition to the scheduled recording that Audio Record Wizard offers, i-Sound takes that one step further in that it will also launch the audio stream you want to record automatically. This is my favorite of the software packages I tried. Our final streaming audio recording software is called i-Sound and is produced by Abyssmedia. You still have to launch the audio stream yourself, though.Īudio Record Wizard costs $25 US to purchase and is available for Windows computers. For example, you could set Audio Record Wizard to record “Worldwide Friendship” for you at the same time each week. That could be every day or only on certain days. You can even set the schedule up to record on a regular basis. Just launch the stream that you plan to record, tell the program when to start and stop and off you go. This means that you don’t even have to be at your computer to start and stop your recording. In addition, you can schedule recordings start and stop time. Audio Record Wizard has the additional functionality that you can tell it how long you want the file to record and have the recording stop at that point. Like SoundTap, it can record live streaming audio in both wav and mp3 formats. This is a slightly more sophisticated tool, at least for our purposes. Our second software package is called “ Audio Record Wizard” by NowSmart. SoundTap costs $30 US to purchase and is available for Windows and Mac computers. So, for example, to record the “K-Pop Connection”, you’d just have to play one of the KBS music stream channels (either mp3 or wma) when the program is being broadcast, click the “Start Recording” button at the beginning of the broadcast and “Stop Recording” when the program is over. WAV or MP3 format with multiple settings for the compression or quality of that recording. You have the option of saving that file in either.
SoundTap allows you to record anything streaming through your computer’s sound card. This is, in some ways, the most bare bones of the three options.
